What is Telemarketing
Telemarketing, one of the most common forms of Direct Marketing, is defined by using the telephone to connect directly to potential customers, offering them a product or service. It does not always have to be a live person making the phone calls. Prerecorded messages are sent out using an automatic dialer.
There are two major kinds of telemarketing. The first is Business to Business, also know as B2B telemarketing. This is where one business is attempting to sell there product of service to another business. The second major category is Business to Consumer or B2C telemarketing and this is where a business is selling a product or service directly to the consumer.
